Our Stance

Even back in few decades, current food system seemed impossible. Today, people can get
their hands on food easier than ever. All kinds of food starting from water, soda, meat, fruits, and many other foods are obtainable within few miles of radius at most. Improved food system is remarkable, but it contained the truth that people didn't know. Food, Inc directed by Robert Kenner in 2008 shows the dark side of modern food system.

Watching Food, Inc was rather shocking than enlightenment. The truth was harsher than expected. I lost my appetite for the day and I guess everyone who watched the movie would have felt the same. I wonder how many people know the corrupt scene behind the food system. Billions of people eat the food produced under the food system believing misguided advertisement and company's marketing skills. The sad thing is that we are so dependant on the modern food system that we cannot live without it. It would be disastrous if the food system
crashes. Without current food system, it is impossible to satisfy people's need.

From what I see, companies should try to improve food system transparent and better at the same time, not trying to hide the truth by lobbying. People loses their faith in food because companies are trying to keep the secret in the dark. People also need to spread the words among them and let as many people possible to face the truth and protest against food system. Changes won't be made without people's involvement and help of media. It would be hard because companies are the ones in control and better position, but food system is not something that can be regarded as a little mistake. Maybe it is too late to make huge changes and to be honest,
impossible to make changes, but ignoring and staying reluctant will not bring changes either.

It is time for us to face the truth and make changes. Although it will be hard voyage, it is worth it.
