The Sin Within... Your Tummy.

Fast food is what is going to bring this nation down. People don't think before they eat. Two cheeseburgers for two dollars, compared to a home cooked meal for ten. The fast food corporations have it too easy. Some health experts estimate that 2/3 of Americans are overweight or obese. We have 310 million people in this country, so that means we have 206 million overweight Americans. These are the Americans with extreme health complications, who we as tax paying citizens have to pay for. These are the people who struggle just to get around, so they have to get a huge car, or a scooter. If they had made the right food decisions, maybe they wouldn't be in a situation like this.

But we can't just blame the people. Its the food companies that are truly to blame. These companies have taken advantage of the system, they have corrupted the system. They had a golden opportunity presented to them, they could feed the world, and they did. And I commend them for that. But, when they realized that they could snare cattle ranchers, chicken farmers, and corn growers into a trap they couldn't escape from, and make a profit, they did just that. Money over everything.
Now the fast food companies, they have a stranglehold on the American diet. More money is spent on fast food every year in America than on anything else. And they know it. They advertise to children, how grow into regular purchasers. These regular purchasers pass on their habits to their children, creating the problem we have today. The only solution is to nip the habit in the bud. We need to teach the American children that healthy choices lead to healthier, more productive futures.
