Cinnamon Toast Crunch

The beauty of Cinnamon Toast Crunch is that anyone of any age can eat them at any point in the day and not even think twice about it. I have certainly taken advantage of this attribute for as long as I can remember. In fact, the oldest food memory I have may in fact be of me eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I can still picture myself eating this for breakfast every single day, as I did for many years. I picture myself sitting at my old wooden kitchen table, looking out the window at my picturesque, small fenced in yard in the middle of suburbia. To this day, I still think that this cereal is perfectly crunchy, filling, and a seemingly complete breakfast

As I mentioned earlier, the biggest attraction of Cinnamon Toast Crunch is that it can be enjoyed by anyone at anytime. My dad, for example, is very strict when it comes to what cereals he will eat. He refuses to eat anything overly sweet or sugary, such as Cap’n Crunch or Fruit Add ImageLoops. However, he eats Cinnamon Toast Crunch habitually. I think the only reason my dad was even willing to try Cinnamon Toast Crunch is that it is not outlandish in taste of appearance, as many sugary cereals are these days. He also eats them for dinner whenever my mom is not home, something my sisters and I are happy to go along with. Often times, when my mom is out of town, my dad will ask us if we’d prefer to go out to eat or just stay at home and eat cereal. We always unanimously agree to stay at home at eat Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

This appreciation of Cinnamon Toast Crunch has been carried with me when I came to Kent last year. I continue to eat it several times per week. I still even find myself eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch for all meals of the day, and even when I am not hungry at all. Although I realize that it is extremely sugary and rather unhealthy, I continue to eat it without any hesitation. Whether it is an early weekday morning breakfast, Sunday brunch, or even formal dinner on Thursday nights, I have a tough time passing up any opportunity to enjoy Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Many people seem to share my enjoyment of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, as the dining hall staff seems to be constantly replacing the cereal bin with new bags of it. Hopefully General Mills will continue to produce this cereal and not replace it with a flashier, more sugary substitute.
