Food Devaluation

"Oh dude, gross, I would never touch her!" This sentence is uttered about a 1000 times the first couple of weeks by new guys in Kent. It is meet with a scornful look of contempt from veterans. The have already experienced the Kent-Hot paradox before. They know that the girl's beauty will curve gradually until in 3 months, she looks like Adriana Lima. The Kent-Food effect works differently. New people who come in think it is okey, until they bow down to the constant complaints of the experienced returners. Either this, or eating a sandwich four times a week for dinner wears their optimism down. Is the school's food worthy of its infamous reputation, or is it truly repulsive? Can initiatives such as meatless Monday or Fish Friday be blamed? Are Kent's Swedish meatballs the root of all evil? I do not feel ready to answer any of these questions. However, I will point out that the sole reason of existence of Wasabi, Shanghay, PIzza Garden and Docs is founded upon delivering to a school where every student is already provided with three meals a day. Personally, I feel that some dishes are in fact awful, but most of the times I'm capable of eating a fulfilling lunch. Of course, I have no allergies or dislikes of any kind, and I eat almost anything that is thrown my way, so I might not be a perfect sample. However, you have to keep in mind that the school has a limited budget, as well as a specific set of values in food components that they must meet. Thus, I believe that new comers should not be met with that scornful look when they mention that somethings looks good in the line at the dinning hall.
Ps: please bring back whole milk
